Proud Sister

I have to brag a little about my brother and his wife - they entered a contest where they were asked to take a Nokia N900 phone and re-design it to be used for something else. They came up with an idea to use it as a bike dashboard - to track speed, distance, and even integrate a light, horn, and GPS among other things. Then they were chosen as one of three finalists and actually had to create this invention!

Not only were they able to pull it off in less than a month, but they WON the grand prize at the convention held in Las Vegas!!

These two are so crafty and creative, I can't say I'm surprised they won. [I am one proud big sister]

Check it out here and here and here

Congrats Brett and Sarah!!

Too Cute, Too Smart

Ellie is just a little doll! She is now proficient in sitting up all by herself, and has practically mastered a one-armed army crawl in 2 days! This girl is on the move...yikes!

Lincoln discovered the magnetic properties of batteries, and then put them to work with his Thomas trains, of course.

Every Girl Needs a Purse

Even baby girls need purses...even if the "purse" is her brother's bowling set bag.

Ellie managed to get the strap around her arm, and then happily rolled around with it. This isn't the first time she has found a purse to use either - she has done the same with Ryan's...ahem... "Men's carryall"

Happy Birthday Lincoln!

I really can't believe it, but yesterday Lincoln turned 3! Ryan took the day off work and we made it a day all-about Link.

*Gifts in the morning - why wait?!

An aircraft carrier picked out by Daddy

*Cupcakes

*This is how we found Lincoln when we went up to bed - light on in his room, sleeping with his astronomy book open. So tired after a fun-filled day!

We love our Lincoln! Now we're working on him saying he's 3 instead of 2 :)

Hint of Spring

2 weeks ago, our yard looked like this:

Now almost all the snow has melted, and it looks like this:

I am SO ready for Spring!!

We enjoyed a fun visit from my parents last week. We must have been having so much fun that we didn't have time to take any pictures. :) My dad had to travel to Europe but was able to stay over on both sides of his trip. My mom helped me decorate the house, shop, and of course, play with the cute kids! The morning after they left Lincoln asked "Where Nana and Pop go?" and then followed it up with "Nana and Pop come home soon"...yes, we sure hope so!

Can this girl's eyes get any bigger or more blue??! (Notice the kids matching St. Paddy's Day shirts - thanks Nana and Pop!)
