He has excellent dipping form and touches the food to the ketchup two times (hence, "dip dip") before putting it in his mouth. Usually he is not satisfied with only one dip though, and double or triple dips before actually eating the food. Most of the time it gets into his mouth.

I remember when you were a little girl and we went to McDonald's. You, of course, were a very tidy eater. If any little bit of ketchup got on your sweet, sensitive skin it left a red mark in the exact shape of the ketchup spot! Oh goodness...and now you are the mommy with the ketchupy boy! Love you.
That is ridiculously cute! So much to look forward to with the toddler years. ...But I don't mind the immobility of this stage, not one little bit.
haha, that is awesome. Mt littlest sister made no pretenses of eating the food after it had been dipped, she just licked the ketchup off and went back for more :)
